Exchanging Currency with Omnis FX
As a general rule when you use a high street bank for your transfers you are given a fairly poor exchange rate and little or no advice as to why rates are where they are or what is expected. With Omnis FX you will not only benefit from our very competitive exchange rates, you will also receive regular updates as to your chosen currencies movements together with a daily market review. When a client approaches us we create a tailor made plan of how their needs should be approached, taking into account past, present and future market trends, it is likely we will advise the client to consider one of our FX contracts that will offer them the best value when carrying out out their exchange. Here is an example of the process took with a recent client;
Rooster Ltd ordered a shipment of sporting goods from their suppliers in Australia. The shipment cost AUD 1 million and was due to land 3 months after the order was placed. Rooster noted that the Australian Dollar exchange rate was at its best level for several months and after discussing options with their account manager at Omnis FX they entered into a forward contract to buy AUD 1 million at an exchange rate of 2.0923 £477,942.93. Three months later the AUD rate dropped to 2.04. Because the client had been advised to secure a Forward rate they were better off by £12,253.14.
